Why now

Q4 goes fast. January doesn't wait.

Between the holidays and year-end rush, the next few months disappear. Then January shows up, and so does everything your taxes need from you.

OCTOBER

The best window to fix your books while there's still time.

NOV – DEC

Holidays, busy season, year-end. Bookkeeping gets pushed aside.

JANUARY

1099s due. Sales tax due. Your CPA needs clean records.

TAX TIME

Wrong numbers in means a bigger tax bill out.

The hidden cost

Checking your bank balance isn't the same as knowing your numbers.

Most owners are busy working in their business, not on the books. Here's what that can cost:

💸

Paying more tax than you owe

If your books are off, your QuickBooks reports are off, and you file taxes on the wrong numbers.

😰

Payroll surprises

Is the money for payroll really there, or are you just hoping it is? Clean books tell you before it's a problem.

❄️

No plan for the slow months

Winter slows service businesses down. You can't budget for it if you don't know what's coming in and going out.

📂

No backup if you're audited

If the IRS ever asks, you'll want every number documented and ready, not rebuilt in a panic.

What you'll learn

Three sessions. One goal: tax-ready books.

01

Clean It Up

[DATE 1] · [TIME]

• How to spot miscategorized transactions

• Reconciling bank and credit card accounts

• The "undeposited funds" trap most owners miss

You'll leave with: a clear picture of where your books stand.

02

Get It Right

[DATE 2] · [TIME]

• Deductions owners get wrong (like meals)

• Who needs a 1099 and what you need to file it

• Payroll and sales tax records to double-check

You'll leave with: fewer costly surprises at tax time.

03

Hand It Off & Plan Ahead

[DATE 3] · [TIME]

• The CPA-ready checklist

• The reports that matter (and how to read them)

• Budgeting for the slow months ahead

You'll leave with: a package your CPA will thank you for.

This class is for you if…

✓ You own a business with employees, payroll, or contractors

✓ You do your own books (or hope someone is)

✓ January tax prep stresses you out every year

✓ You want to understand your numbers, not just survive them

It's not for you if…

✕ You already have a full-time accounting team

✕ You want accounting theory instead of practical steps

✕ You'd rather wait until April to think about this

Common mistakes

Things business owners believe that cost them money

❌

"I use QuickBooks, so my books are fine."

QuickBooks is only as accurate as what goes into it. Without the accounting basics behind it, small errors add up on your tax return.

❌

"Business meals are a 100% write-off."

Most business meals are only 50% deductible, and only with the right documentation.

❌

"My CPA will sort it out."

Your CPA works from what you give them. Messy books in means more billable hours, or mistakes, out.

Meet your teacher

Hi, I'm Julie Davis.

I've spent years helping East Bay business owners get their books in order, from roofers and contractors to restaurants and retail shops. I'm the person who makes sure your numbers are right, so you can focus on running your business.

"If I tell you I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it."

My job is to get you ready, so when you file your taxes (or heaven forbid, get audited) you have the backup to support every number. I double-check every client report for accuracy, because your trust matters to me.

However you want to work, I can help:

→ I'll teach you → I'll do it with you → I'll do it for you

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

Is this really free?

Yes. The class and the QuickBooks Review are both free. No credit card, no catch.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. You'll get real, practical steps you can use yourself. If you'd like help afterward, Julie is happy to talk, but there's no pressure.

I already use QuickBooks. Do I need this?

Probably. Using QuickBooks and having accurate books are two different things. This class shows you how to check that what's in there is actually right.

I have a CPA. Isn't that enough?

Your CPA files your taxes based on what you give them. This class helps you hand over clean, organized records, which can save you time, money, and back-and-forth.

I'm too busy. What if I miss a session?

Every registrant gets the replay, so you can catch up on your own time.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Just bring your questions. If you use QuickBooks, having it open during class helps you follow along.

Start the new year with books you can trust.

Seats are limited to keep each session interactive. Save yours now and walk into January ready.
